This Saturday is the 11th Annual StoryFest (and Trucks!), October 14, 9:00 am-2:00 pm

This Saturday is the 11th Annual Story/Truck Fest, at the Ventura Unified School District (VUSD) Education Service Center, 255 Stanley Avenue, Ventura 93002, from 9am – 2pm.

The goal of the event is for children and their families to celebrate the joy of reading. The event features story tents where community celebrities will read books in English, Spanish, and America Sign Language (with every child visiting the tent receiving a FREE book), art, music, and science activities, games, healthy food vendors, and so much more!

Trucks from the city’s different departments will be there for kids to play on and learn about, too! Public Works will have a backhoe, Police will have their BearCat SWAT vehicle, Fire will have a big red engine, Ventura Water will have TWO trucks, a Vactor truck and the shiny new NO-DES truck, and Harrison will have an awesome recycle truck.

This event is FREE and open to the public, don’t miss it!
