StoryFest: A Celebration of Children and Books

Saturday, October 8, 2016 marks the 9th Annual StoryFest, a popular event for children and their families, which celebrates the joy of reading. Held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ventura Unified School District Education Service Center, 255 W. Stanley Avenue, Ventura, StoryFest is a FREE event that offers fun, entertaining, and educational activities featuring storytelling, book giveaways, musical activities, and the recent addition of TruckFest. TruckFest provides a variety of trucks will be present for children to explore. Tucks include a police SWAT truck, fire engine, garbage truck, water vactor truck, and a dump truck. In addition, there will be a variety of other games and activities.

Come visit the Environmental Sustainability and Ventura Water booths to pick up green swag and play fun, educational “green” games!
