More than 200,000 lbs. of HHW materials are collected from Ventura residents and businesses each year! Take advantage of the opportunity to properly dispose of these toxic items such as:

  • Used or contaminated motor oil and gasoline
  • Used oil filters
  • Pesticides and fertilizers
  • Paints
  • Thinners
  • Lacquer
  • Pool supplies
  • Batteries
  • Fluorescent tubes and light bulbs (CFL’s)
  • Nail polishes and removers

The third Saturday of every month (except December) the City of Ventura holds a FREE HHW collection event for city residents and small businesses (CESQG’s).  Appointments are required.  Call (805) 652-4525 (Monday-Thursdays, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).
